An installative music theatre, freely adapted from Raphael Urweider’s book of poems of the same name (“Wildern”, 2018).
In a cube shaped installation filled with objects, live animals and plants lives the musician and performer Vera Kardos. The structure is something between an isolation cell and a survival bunker, which she modulates according to her needs and desires. Within, she cooks, eats, listens to the radio, experiments, practices the violin, photographs and films herself. The audience sits in a semi-circle around her, but she only ever talks to her animals and plants. Her regular rituals and perfect order, at first glance seemingly under total control, begin to warp, slipping out from under her, bit by bit. Weather reports and radio alerts increasingly interrupt her actions, becoming more and more frequent. A storm is gathering.
